We understand that from the outside, all grad programs might look the same. It’s true that some topics will be taught in any program, but every program has its own character, its own focus, and its own quirks. This section aims to help students who may be interested in joining our department. We provide some FAQs about grad school in general, the application process, and what makes our department unique. You can also read about the particular research topics we work on in our department, which can give you a sense of the things we like to think about and the opportunities available to students to make progress on these topics. Finally, we give some advice about what students can do once they’ve already been accepted into grad school. There are a lot of other resources available online about how to prepare for grad school applications in general, but we’ve tried to provide some hard won insider knowledge to prospective students.
