The STOR Summer Bootcamp is a great way to brush up on your real analysis and linear algebra knowledge as you start your first-year courses. It runs as an 8-week course during the fall and is taught by a STOR professor. Bootcamp is open to both Master’s and PhD students.

Bootcamp is mandatory, but students can “test” out of it by talking to the professor. Many students find it helpful, and it’s a good space to get closer with your cohort. You can try to show up the first couple of days, and if it doesn’t seem useful, you can stop. Despite technically being prerequisites for this program, it’s okay if your real analysis and linear algebra skills are rusty – that’s what bootcamp is for.

For information about topics that are not covered in the bootcamp but may be useful in the graduate program, see here.
